Following itineraries designed by the PONANT teams, these voyages interspersed with talks by curators and department directors from the Louvre will enable guests to discover some of the lands from which the museum’s collections originate.
The cultural jewels of the Adriatic
On this first cruise in partnership with Le Louvre, guests will discover the cultural and artistic treasures of Ancient Greece and the Adriatic as they sail across the water from Athens to Venice.
The cruise will have a rich and fascinating programme, both in terms of sailing — Kotor Bay, Corinth Canal — and shore visits, with the discovery of many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Acropolis in Athens, the Delphi archaeological site and the Diocletian's Palace in Split.
On board, Jannic Durand, Director of the Department of Decorative Arts at the Musée du Louvre, and Ludovic Laugier, Curator in the Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities at the Musée du Louvre, will be giving many conferences to share their knowledge with guests.

The treasures of the Persian Gulf
In autumn 2020, the second cruise from this partnership will take its guests to discover the cultural and artistic riches of the Persian Gulf. From Muscat (Oman) to Dubai via Qatar and Abu Dhabi, guests will be able to discover age-old maritime traditions, exceptional natural sites such as the fjords of Arabia or Sir Bani Yas Island, a veritable animal sanctuary, the futuristic architecture of ever-growing metropolises, mosques worthy of the Arabian Nights and, of course, the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
On board, Yannick Lintz, Director of the Department of Islamic Art at the Musée du Louvre, will share her expertise with guests.
