The DS 7 CROSSBACK is now available in a limited and exclusive “Louvre” edition, with unique features inspired by the museum. 182 iconic works are programmed into the large central screen, coupled with podcasts in five languages, inviting drivers and passengers to embark on a different kind of journey. Le DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE is available in two plug-in hybrid engines that consume record-low amounts of fuel. 

A prestigious brand 
Expert craftsmen at DS Automobiles have transposed emblems of the Musée du Louvre onto the vehicle, including the name “Louvre” on the hood, trunk lid, and front doors of the DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE. Personalized down to the last detail, the DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE adds a touch of elegance with a laser engraving of the Pyramid on the encasing of the outside rear-view mirrors. Subtle images of the iconic work designed by Ieoh Ming Pei also adorn the interior: 3D prints on the air vents and dashboard, and an embossed image on the Napa leather of the central storage cover.

With DS Automobiles, the art of travel becomes artful travel, offering unparalleled comfort in a refined and elegant vehicle. This tour-de-force of French savoir-faire combines new technology like 3D printing and laser engraving and the fine craftsmanship of noble materials such as Napa leather in Black Basalt used for watchbands. This coupling of culture and the art of travel is the culmination of a longstanding and fruitful relationship with the Louvre.

“A Day at the Louvre,” an exclusive artistic experience
The love of art and culture is taking on new forms, reserved for an exclusive clientele. The DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE invites drivers and passengers to discover a selection of emblematic works from the museum on the large, 12-inch, high-definition central screen. At the turn of the key, the works become a source of inspiration with 4-minute podcasts that reveal all their secrets (available in French, English, German, Spanish and Italian). 182 works were selected by the personnel of the Musée du Louvre and DS Automobiles to give an overview of the collections from all of the curatorial departments, including The Winged Victory of Samothrace, the portrait of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, The Wedding at Cana by Veronese, the Coronation of Napoleon I by Jacques-Louis David, The Raft of the Medusa by Théodore Géricault, Liberty Leading the People by Eugène Delacroix, and the Egyptian statue The Seated Scribe.

This limited edition of the DS CROSSBACK LOUVRE is for sale in 18 countries in Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Depending on the type of engine, in France prices range from 54,000 to 67,300 euros. 


All DS 7 CROSSBACK LOUVRE customers  will be given an Amis du Louvre card granting priority access and free entry to museum collections for one year.
