The Musée du Louvre launches online boutique

The Louvre is proud to announce the opening of its online boutique dedicated to collaborations with partners. The new site offers a range of unique products, hand-picked to embody the richness of the Louvre and its collections. Books, games, fashion, decorative objects and more, today’s designers and brands revisit the former palace and its artworks, putting a resolutely modern twist on their creations. An invitation to extend the delightful visual experience of a museum visit and bring a bit of the Louvre home.

A showcase for an array of exclusive products but also sneak previews, capsule collections or limited editions, the eboutique is designed to draw a wide audience and strengthen the museum’s ties with the public – both those who know the Louvre well and those who have yet to come – all over the world. 

Products available in the online boutique include personalised Swatch watches; perfumes by the prestigious Officine Universelle Buly; cups and saucers designed by Bernardaud featuring the anamorphic image of the Pyramid by French artist JR; and other objects and games for the entire family.

Proposing bold collaborations that enhance the Louvre and reach the widest possible audience thanks to online shopping, the new Louvre boutique is perfectly in line with the museum’s values of sharing and universality. This new space also serves to show that the Louvre is a dynamic and inspiring place for one and all’.

Two unique collaborations celebrate the launch of the Louvre’s online boutique:

– Uniqlo X Louvre 
Within the framework of a four-year partnership between the Louvre and Uniqlo, the Japanese textile brand has launched a special collection: a line of men’s clothing by the English graphic designer Peter Saville, who drew inspiration from the museum’s inventory numbers for artworks, and a line of women’s clothing that pays homage to representations of women in art history. 
Exclusive preorder on the Louvre’s online boutique starting 28 January.
Available in Uniqlo stores 4 February.

– Maison Sarah Lavoine X Louvre 
Neighbour and friend of the Tuileries Garden for 25 years, the designer Sarah Lavoine drew inspiration from the beauty of the royal garden imagined by Catherine de’ Medici in the 16th century to come up with a collection of decorative objects around four themes: the sails of the small wooden boats in the large central basin; the rich patterns of shady groves; the flower arrangements designed by landscape artists; and the historic statues and fountains in the garden. 
Available 18 February in the Louvre’s online boutique and in Maison Sarah Lavoine stores.
