The Musée du Louvre is closed

In accordance with directives issued by the French government, the Musée du Louvre and the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix will close at 6 p.m. this Friday, March 13, 2020, and will remain closed until further notice.

All holders of tickets purchased online will receive a refund.

The museum will postpone its two upcoming exhibitions: the first, presenting the German Renaissance artist Albrecht Altdorfer, which was scheduled to open April 23 in the Rotonde Sully; and the second, titled “Body and Soul: Sculpture in Italy from Donatello to Michelangelo,” organized in collaboration with Milan’s Castello Sforzesco Museum, and which was scheduled to open May 6 in the Hall Napoléon. New dates will be announced at a later time.
